Getting Started
|
 | Translucent blue or clear bags must be used and are
available at local hardware stores or Wal-Mart. Please
use a minimum of .95 mil. bag. | |
 | Prepare Recyclables as requested in this flyer. |
 | All Recyclables may be placed in the same blue bag. |
 | Tie the full bag loosely and place it in with your weekly
trash. Blue bags will be collected by your trash
hauler and transported to the Material Recovery Facility for
processing. |

Acceptable Blue Bag Items
|
 | Aluminum Cans ~ Aluminum foil and foil pans are
accepted. | |
 | Newspapers ~Ad inserts are acceptable. |
 | Magazines ~ Slick paper type only throughout the
whole magazine. |
 | Steel Cans ~ Tuna, vegetable, fruit, and pet food
cans. Please rinse, labels may be left on. Lids
are recyclable. |
 | Corrugated Cardboard ~ The kind with way air
pockets between layers. Large boxes need not be placed
in bags. (Pasteboard, which is cereal boxes or
12 pack containers, are NOT recyclable). |
 | Plastics ~ Numbers 1 & 2 only. Milk and
water jugs. Detergent, soda, and juice bottles.
Please rinse and remove lids - they are not
recyclable. Labels may be left on. |
